help my cacti?
i knew that some colored cacti have no chlorophils , thus can not do its photosenthesis so depends on grafting.
my quistion is :
how we come out with colored cacti ?
i mean can i do it myself , getting red or yellow cactus from its own green colore ?
my 2nd question is how can i make my golden barrel cactus buds?
I do not know that you can remove the chlorophyll from a living plant and still expect it to grow..but who knows. it DOES leave when freezes or winter comes
for sure you can remove chlorophyll and the color, from some DRIED plants; by soaking them in water or by sun bleaching. i do not know if this works for all plants but for some it does.
How do we come out with colored cacti
How to make it flower>i do not know that either but i have read that it does it in the summer. Most cacti do it in the winter/need low temps. it MIGHT be that your cacti needs low temps in the winter but then will flower in the summer.

The middle one is an Australian forum. It might be the best if you were trying to grow outside in a climate like Australia. If you were trying to grow in a different climate, then you might search with the terms "cacti", "forum" and the country you reside in.
If it were a different subject than cacti, and you wanted a forum to talk about it in, then you would add the word forum to whatever it is you were searching for.
