What Are Some Specific Desert\grassland Plants?

I have to do a project on the desert\grasslands can anyone help me name 4 specific types of plants (already got the cactus)
i tried google but with little success, Thank You

   desrt has xerophytic plants like the prickly pear,cactus,thorny bushes and shrubs like cycas,date trees are also found near oasis.

   Anything from the rainforest, so long as you water it enough.

   Joshua Trees and lots of types of flowers (see link)
   Blue Agave grows in the desert (they make tequila from it)
